Email to SMS Services
Send SMS Messages via Email
X-on Email to SMS services allow SMS conversations to be conducted from a desktop PC or laptop. Composition of the messages can be performed using a standard qwerty keyboard with the SMS replies being delivered as emails.

Alternatively business clients, staff and friends can be provided with an email address which can be used to send messages to your mobile while on the move.
Important notifications issued via email, such as eBay bidding notifications and other consumer alerts, can be received on your mobile.
The Email to SMS service allows facilitates Bulk SMS distribution.
To send an SMS using Email (open sending):
An email is addressed in the format <recipient's mobile number>@x-onsms.com and the contents are sent as a text message to the recipient's mobile. Depending on selections made in your account, initially only the first 160 characters including the subject are sent, the recipient can then respond with 'MORE' to receive all of the message.
SMS replies from the recipient's mobile are routed back to the sender via email.
To receive SMS sent from Email (preset sending):
You can create an email address such as MikesMobile@x-onsms.com (subject to availability) in your account and enter a mobile number, such as your own mobile phone number, to which the SMS messages will be sent. Consequently anyone, or any notification service, can send an email to MikesMobile@x-onsms.com and the message will be received as a text message on the designated mobile.
To send an SMS to a group of recipients using Email (bulk sending):
A distribution list of mobile phone numbers of intended recipients can be associated with a chosen sending 'from' email address in your account. Our system will then produce a unique reference code to which you can send your message i.e. send an email to refcode@x-onsms.com and the recipients on the list will receive a text message of the email contents.
