Mobile Recording | Call Recording for Mobile Phones
Good Business Practice and Legal Protection
X-on provides simple and cost effective mobile call recording solutions for the Blackberry Smartphone. The service is hosted, so no hardware purchase is required.
Banks, financial services, stock brokers and solicitors use mobile phones as part of their daily business activity. Mobile recording means that any subsequent disputes can be resolved more easily as the conversation is retrievable.
Memories of a conversation are fallible, and conversation notes are usually not sufficiently accurate should any dispute be escalated for adjudication by the relevant ombudsman.

Legal Implications for Financial Organisations
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) have regulated that all phone conversations and electronic communications relating to client orders in the equity, bond and derivatives markets be recorded and archived for 6 months. The existing exemption for mobile phones will likely change very soon.

As a protective measure, the FSA has advised their members that all phone conversations be recorded.
Though not required to do so, an increasing number of smaller businesses record their calls as insurance against false claims.
Encrypted Mobile Call Recordings
X-on's Mobile Recording service encrypts the conversation at the source, resulting in a recording which is demonstrably intact and tamper free. As such the recordings are likely to be deemed admissible in any adjudication or legal proceedings. Standard MP3 or wave files do not provide the same provable originality.
Having a recording often facilitates early dispute resolution, as involved parties have access to the original conversation which may differ from their recollection.
